STRONG VOICE

DTA advocates for and lobbies proactively on behalf of the vast majority of property and business owners in the downtown area, and many businesses that conduct a significant part of their activities in downtown. We work closely with all elected officials and various government staff representatives to ensure that the interests of our members are protected and that downtown remains a priority.

EDUCATION

DTA holds regular programs to educate its membership and others about the many initiatives and developments taking place in the central business district. DTA members receive regular communications about downtown events, activities and developments. Members can also request more specific information from the DTA offices about these subjects. Members receive discounts to all DTA programs and invitations to key downtown events.

INVOLVEMENT

DTA members have an opportunity to become involved in the organization’s committees. DTA members are encouraged to and can participate in the many transportation, zoning, design or development initiatives that are conducted downtown.

NETWORKING

DTA provides you with access to over 200 key property and business owner members and their thousands of associated employees that share your common interest in a revitalized urban core. Your membership also offers the opportunity to meet concerned downtown business leaders from all over the United States through conferences sponsored by the Texas Downtown Association and the International Downtown Association.  Members are also networked through our web site via member links.
